We offer both professional machine quilting services using a Janome Quilt Maker Pro 20 with a Pro-Stitcher Premium Computer Guided top-stitch system and free motion quilting services using a Handi-Quilter Moxie (15”) as well as Long Arm Machine Rental.

Custom Machine Quilting Services: We welcome the opportunity to work on your quilt.

We’re expert in professional long arm machine quilting using our computerized machine. We add beautiful designs to your quilt, making it look even more special and helping it stay together. We can finish all over machine quilting designs in just two to three weeks. We have hundreds of patterns to choose from, and our baby quilts start at just $50 for an allover design. Our Team will quilt your top, using either a computerized design or edge to edge free motion meander.

We offer quality batting, 100% cotton backings, a large spectrum of thread colors and an endless (almost) selection of patterns with our Pro-Stitcher. 

Our Janome QMP 20 is mounted on a 12’ Janome ProFrameV2 and is capable of finishing a Quilt up to 112” inches wide (King Size).

Our Handi-Quilter Moxie is mounted on a 8’ Loft2 frame and is capable of finishing quilts up to 90” inches wide (Queen Size).

Quilt Top Preparation:

Ensure that your quilt top has been pressed and all threads have been meticulously cleaned. Loose, dark threads left on the back of the light-colored patches can significantly detract from the overall appearance of your quilt, as they can become entangled between the layers. Make sure all seams are secure and that your top is square. If there is a problem with the squareness of the top, there also can be a problem with how a quilting design lays on the quilt.

If you are including backing material, mark your quilt top with of a safety pin.  Backings and battings need to be 6-8 inches larger on the length and width of the quilt top. For example if you have a 60" x 60" quilt, your backing should be at least 66 x 66. This will supply the needed 6 inches on all sides of the quilt.

If you are not providing the backing or batting we will offer a 10% discount on the material (backing fabric, batting) if we supply it.

Rates:

Computerized Quilting (Pro-Stitcher) starts at 3 cents ($0.03) per square inch. Complex designs may be quoted at a higher rate. The minimum charge is $50.00. 

Free-Motion Quilting starts at 2.5 cents ($0.025) per square inch. Our Minimum charge is $35.00. Free motion quilting is a continuous meander of a single color of thread throughout the entire quilt, irrespective of blocks, seams, or piecing designs.

The service fee is applicable solely to the quilting service; all materials supplied by the Sewing Sanctuary (Backing, batting, thread, etc.) are charged separately.

Typical Quilt Sizes and the estimated charge below for service is an estimate for planning purposes only, we will measure your quilt top actual size to determine the total service fee.

Long Arm Rental (for the DYI'er)

We also offer rental time on both of our Top Quilters:

We ask that you either be an experienced top quilter or allow us to schedule at least a 30 minute lesson prior to you using our machines. We will, of course be available during your session is you have any questions or issues.

After your lesson you can finish your quilt the hand-guided way by doing a freehanded design, or if that is not for you - you can use our Pro-Stitcher and pick your design, we will help you program it and show you how to use the Pro-Stitcher and away you go.

HQ Moxie (15” throat), Free Motion Only, starting at $25.00 per hour.

Janome QMP 20, Free Motion, starting at $30.00 per hour.

Janome QMP 20, Pro-Stitcher, starting at $35.00 per hour.

The hourly rate is applicable solely to the use of the machine; all materials supplied by the Sewing Sanctuary (Backing, batting, thread, etc.) are charged separately.
