Sew with your friends and neighbors in a warm (cool) environment with room to sew. Share camaraderie, conversation, and skills and ideas with others interested in sewing, quilting, knitting, etc. Bring your own machine and spend the day. One fee covers all day (10:30 to 4:30), so take an hour or six and complete that latest project.
Level 2 is the advanced beginners course and builds on the skills developed during Unit 1. This unit introduces the student to various aspects of sewing like garment making, bag making, patchwork, embroidery, and appliqué. The student will learn skills such as hemming, adding linings to projects, basic garment construction, and sewing with lightweight fabrics using techniques such as . Students should have completed all of the Level 1 units before enrolling in Level 2. The Society Sewing Program is a sewing curriculum for kids ages 7 and up, as well as adults wishing to learn new skills. The program takes a skill-building approach, starting with simpler projects and introducing new concepts and techniques as students progress through a structured curriculum tailored to their experience.
